Roller clutch
This part is also called Overdrive clutch. Made of a plastic cage with 32 rollers it is a crutial part of a 47RE, 47RH and 48RE automatic transmission.
Over time, it wears out, the plastic weakens under the effect of heat and flat spots appear on the rollers.
It is best to replace them each rebuilt to avoid any slippage or hesitation between gears.
