These heavy-duty ARP head studs installed on your 12V Cummins prevent head gasket issues that occur when the truck is towing heavy loads such as a work trailer or camping trailer.
They withstand a pull of 220,000 psi and provide the force needed to keep the motor head securely in place despite the high pressure caused by combustion.
These studs are made from an exclusive alloy called ARP 2000. The threads are created after the heat treatment in order to retain the optimum strength longer. Perfectly concentric, they are designed to allow the motor head to be removed from a confined space.
Each kit also includes heat-treated steel nuts and washers.
